TRUST THE EXPERTS:

Our staff of experienced jewelry professionals are here to guide you through the engagement ring buying process – educating you at every step of the way.

Here we highlight some of 2024’s most popular engagement ring trends with insight from our very own in-house expert, Gabe Truxall.

OVALS EVERYWHERE

We are seeing a large increase in demand for oval shaped diamonds. Its elongated shape has more coverage on the finger making the diamond appear bigger than a round diamond of equal carat weight.

Ovals have taken celebrity engagements by storm including Kourtney Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, and Blake Lively – just to name a few.

“Couples are embracing ovals – not just because they are on trend”, Says Gabe. “It’s a highly functional cut. Not only do they look bigger, but they are less prone to chips when compared to other fancy shape stones.”

LAB GROWN DIAMONDS — THE MODERN APPROACH

We have seen a recent explosion in popularity of lab-grown diamonds – especially for engagement rings. Lab-grown diamonds are created above ground using advanced technological processes that simulate the same conditions under which mined diamonds develop beneath the earth’s crust.

A lab-grown diamond costs up to 70% less than a mined diamond making it a far better value with no compromise in quality.

Lab-grown diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically identical to a diamond mined from the ground. It’s not a diamond alternative like moissanite or cubic zirconia – it is a true diamond – the only difference is its origin.

YELLOW GOLD RENAISSANCE — A CLASSIC RETURNS

Yellow gold is back and bigger than ever. While platinum and white gold rings continue to be in high demand, we are seeing more and more couples choose yellow gold as the perfect companion for their diamond.

Engagement rings crafted in yellow gold were widely popular in the 1980s until they were overtaken by the boom of white gold and platinum in the decades to follow. We are seeing the next generation of couples cycle back to the timeless look of yellow gold.

“I love engagement rings in yellow gold. It will always be a sophisticated look.” says Gabe. “…and a great way to make that beautiful diamond stand out.”

THREE STONES ARE BETTER THAN ONE

Three-stone engagement rings are a popular option with couples looking for a traditional look. The three stones represent the past, present, and future – a fitting way to honor a lifetime of love.

Whether it’s three classically matched diamonds of a similar size or a large center stone flanked by smaller accents – there is a three-stone ring for everyone’s preference.
