As the 2022 school year comes to a close, it can be difficult to find learning opportunities for kids. Williamson County is fortunate enough to have wonderful public libraries across the county! The John P. Holt Brentwood Library is proud to present summer kids calendars that you – and your little readers - won’t want to miss!

Splash Into Summer

June 3 | 4pm
Dive into an Ocean of Possibilities and celebrate Summer 2022 with an event featuring food and fun!

Mr. Rich with Super Science

June 7 | 1pm
Audience: Ages 6+
Like science? Try something dynamic, fun and interactive with Mr. Rich. Created to educate and entertain, kids can see experiments and learn about a lightsaber, disappearing water, bubbling potions, a bed of nails, smoking drinks and (Yes!) explosions!

Code Club

June 7 | 4:30pm
Location: Learning Lab
Grades 3-5 are invited to learn a new language through the Prenda Coding Club program. Create Minecraft worlds, build a website, control robots and more!

Anthony Lena – Balloons of Pure Awesomeness

June 9 | 1pm
Audience: All Ages
Join for a special comedy magic show by a multi-talented young man who can make amazing balloon sculptures. Join for a celebration with Balloons of Pure Awesomeness®.

Steve Pennington

Steve Pennington combines comedy, magic, music, puppetry and whatever else he can think of to entertain children. He co-created WSMV’s Snowbird and was the master puppeteer for Walt Disney on Broadway.

Farmer Jason draws his musical influences from folk, country and rock ‘n’ roll with a dash of DIY punk rock to teach kids about farm lie and the wonders of nature.

Scott Humston

Scott’s show is a mix of music that inspires with messages about honesty, self-respect, and cooperation, combined with comedy!

Gene Cordova

Gene Cordova and his cast of characters lead you through an exciting performance, including ventriloquism, illusions, comedy, audience participation, and high-energy antics.

Rodney Kelley

Audience: Age 6+
Are you ready to laugh and be amazed? Rodney performed at Opryland theme Park and Gaylord Opryland Hotel, and his magic has been featured on America’s Funniest Videos – Twice!

Runaway Puppet Theater

Runaway Puppet Theater presents timeless tales with a twist. A fifty-minute show that uses hand and shadow puppetry to tell the story of perhaps how the Olympics began.

Roger Day

Audience: Ages 3 - 8
Roger Day will perform a concert featuring his action-packed and interactive songs that will have kids jumping for joy. Roger combines his wit and wordplay to create a musical experience that parents enjoy as much as their kids. Don’t miss your favorites along with his new song – Zoo Keeper’.

Donna Washington

She has been entertaining, educating and inspiring audiences with her vocal pyrotechnics, elastic face, and deep characterizations that bring folklore, literary tales, and personal narratives to life for over thirty years.
