The Downtown Franklin Rotary Club (DFRC) was recognized as the Most Outstanding Club in District 6760 during the District 6760 awards presentations. District 6760 covers multiple counties across Tennessee and is comprised of more than 60 clubs and 3,300 members. BrightStone taps Pam Horne for Land of Dreams’ Community Relations Post
BrightStone’s Land of Dreams is a multi-phase construction project to establish job training, continue life-skill education, and social and community awareness while providing much-needed residential housing for adults with special needs. Veteran journalist and community relations professional Pam Horne of Franklin has been named Community Relations Manager of BrightStone’s Land of Dreams. Horne will focus on promoting awareness of BrightStone’s Land of Dreams at 4184 Columbia Pike, which when completed will be a major advancement offering comprehensive programming. MAUREEN HALEY THORNTON NAMED VISIT FRANKLIN PRESIDENT & CEO
Maureen Haley Thornton has been named President & CEO of Visit Franklin, the convention and visitors bureau for Williamson County, Tennessee. Thornton, who most recently served as the Vice President of Strategic Tourism Initiatives at Visit Houston, was selected by the Visit Franklin Board of Directors following a national search. Brentwood Fire Chief Named as State Director to the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs
Chief Brian Goss of the Brentwood Fire & Rescue Department was sworn in last week as State Director representing Tennessee to the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs (SEAFC) Board of Directors. The Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs is the largest Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). Goss has been with the Brentwood Fire & Rescue Department for thirteen years and has served as fire chief for the past ten. He is the immediate past president of the Tennessee Fire Chiefs Association.
