Glow with Zo
By Lauren Moore, RN | Grace Aesthetics
As a registered nurse working in the medical aesthetics field, nothing makes me happier than seeing the boost in self-confidence my clients receive from the services I provide at Grace Aesthetics in Cool Springs. Grace Aesthetics is known for using cutting-edge treatments to deliver natural results, and I am excited to announce our latest innovation: the ZO Glass Skin Facial. It’s the perfect pre-wedding treatment for flawless skin on your big day or any other special event.
But first, what is a glass skin facial?
You may have heard the term, but not all Glass Skin Facials are the same. At Grace Aesthetics, our ZO Glass Skin Facial consists of microneedling the skin with an infusion of chemicals, such as salicylic acid, used to exfoliate the skin, followed by a medical-grade retinoid product. For those not familiar, microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses tiny pulsating needles to create microinjuries to the skin. Microneedling alone is a very effective treatment that helps improve the look of acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and more. But, when combined with the exfoliating serums and retinoid products, it is even more effective! And the results speak for themselves. Our clients have shown a dramatic improvement in their skin after just one treatment. Their skin is glowing, dewy and plump, with a notable reduction in fine lines and pore size.
What can you expect?
During your treatment, I will first numb your entire face for approximately thirty minutes. Then, I will cleanse your face and use the Skinstylus pen to microneedle your skin with the exfoliating infusions, which will be customized for your unique skin type. I will then administer the ZO Stimulator Peel to your face, followed by ZO’s Radical Night Repair retinoid product. You can expect your face to be red and stinging for up to two hours following the treatment, and your skin will feel warm to the touch for about twenty-four hours. Forty-eight hours after your Glass Skin Facial, you will begin to peel, and peeling can last from five to seven days but is easily covered with makeup. Your skin will just appear dry. Two weeks post-treatment is when your gorgeous, healthy-looking glass skin will emerge. It’s well worth the wait!
For brides-to-be, I recommend coming to see me six to eight months before your wedding day so I can get to know your skin and see how it responds to various treatments. For your introductory treatment, start with something low-risk, such as a Hydrafacial, followed by a very light chemical peel to see how your skin responds. For best results with the ZO Glass Skin Facial, a series of three, spaced four to six weeks apart is what I recommend. Starting the series four to five months before your wedding day and capping it off with a Hydrafacial ten days pre-wedding will give you the most sumptuous, juicy beautiful skin for your special day and will provide the perfect canvas for your wedding makeup! And the glowing results will last far beyond your wedding day. Anytime you puncture the skin, the skin has to act to repair itself. During that process, the skin builds collagen–and anytime you build collagen, it’s a permanent result. Of course, the skin will continue to age, but this investment in your skin will continue to pay off long after you’ve returned from your honeymoon.
Nearly everyone is a good candidate for the Glass Skin Facial, and there’s very little downtime because the treatment is not too aggressive, but you’re still going to get amazing results! In addition to Glass Skin Facials, I also provide microneedling with PRF, IPL Photofacials, Morpheus8 and Pure Plasma.
