Savory Spice Shop, in downtown Franklin, opened in October 2013. Owner Hollie Rollins was frustrated at the variety and lack of fresh spices in the local big box and grocery stores. Hollie and her husband David had initially searched for Juniper berries to add to a corned beef recipe when they discovered Savory Spice. Savory Spice was offering franchise opportunities, and the Rollins family knew that Franklin and the Nashville area were ready for this delightful flavor shop. After years of guest requests, they decided to expand their business from Franklin to Nashville in 2019. 

 

Savory Spice offers a wide variety of high-quality blends and spices from across the world to even specific parts of the United States. It has over 400 products, and more than 200 blends are original recipes freshly blended each week. Savory Spice also offers a line of recipe mixes called Spice ‘n Easy that make cooking simple for cooks of any level by providing the flavorful spices and ingredients needed to make delicious recipes with an easy-to-follow recipe.

 

The team at both local locations of Savory Spice are educated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about food. The goal is to make exploring in the kitchen surprisingly simple, so cooks of all levels can say, “I’ve got this!”
