“When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.”
–Joel Osteen
Dear Readers,
As we all prepare to begin the season of excess and stress – commonly referred to as THE HOLIDAYS – let me just repeat another rhyming word: BLESSED. I use that word often when describing my life and our community. We are abundantly blessed.
One area that makes our community so blessed, is our business community. It exceeds expectations, projections and national averages, doesn’t it? When the rest of the country seems to be succumbing to the gloom and doom of a recession and difficult economic times, we continue to shine and drive forward the idea of hard work, diligence and perseverance paying off to provide a good life. Business is good in Williamson County seems to always be true.
Of course, there are hardships. Some are not so lucky or able. And to those, we owe our help and kindness. As our community shows, THAT makes us blessed as well; to be able to be thankful we can help others in need. Small businesses in Williamson County consistently and constantly come through in that area. Here at YW, we have spent almost twelve years in business providing over a million dollars in advertising and promotion to our non-profit and charitable friends. And we will spend the next twelve years trying to double that!
This issue is filled with inspiring business stories and information that I hope is both interesting and informative. I know I will be reading four books courtesy of four inspiring businesswomen whose knowledge and experience has reignited my passion for my business, how to grow it and be a better leader to the incredible team I have assembled.
I look forward to a holiday season filled with blessings and thankfulness for all those blessings. From all of us here at YOUR Williamson – Happy Thanksgiving Williamson County!
